My Dad asked me to drive him to town and I figured it was the best excuse to drop by the supermarket and get some stuff. So I went into my room, dove into the pile of clutter on the chair and searched for my bag. As I was driving, Dad asked if he could bum some loose change and I told him to scrounge in my bag while crossing my fingers, toes, arms, legs, and eyes that there were no wild animals in there that might sting or bite his hand. LOL
I used to hate carrying bags. There was a time when it was considered 'cool' to be carrying nothing at all and to have almost everything you need in your pockets. I would go out with both my hands (and shoulders) free as I would have my money in one pocket and my handkerchief (yes, there was a time when such things existed) was in the other. That was before the mobile phone came into being -- yes, I have been alive that long.
Then there was the time when the fad was carrying wallets... and I had a lot of those. I had small ones, folding ones, ones that had slots for cards and pictures, zipped ones, leather ones, you name it. I would go out with a wallet and hanky on one hand. Then as I needed to have more and more things on hand, bags became useful.
Anyway, the moment Dad and I came back home, I decided to clean my bag. As I tossed the contents onto the living room table, I sighed in relief as there were no creepy crawlies that came out. LOL
In my bag, I had:
- my wallet
- a pack of moist wipes
- a small pack of tissue
- folding fan
- loose change
- old bus tickets
- mobile phone case
- face towel (in place of a handkerchief)
What about you? What's in your bag? Do let me know. :)
