Quotes I Really Like

Quotes can be funny, wise, inspiring, sarcastic or  even scary. I have a lot of favorite quotes; probably because I am such a chain-reader. Today, the "Q" day of the A to Z Challenge, I am sharing some of my most favorite quotes. :)

A lot of my favorite quotes are from the TV series Grey's Anatomy -- specifically the character Meredith Grey. I just find her words to be so real, so wise, and pretty inspiring. Here is one of them:

"At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. It's like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And it's not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you , and once in a while people may even take your breath away." -- Meredith Grey

I also have a lot of great quotes from Jodi Picoult's book The Storyteller. But one quote which really struck me is this one:

“But not all Jews were victims- look at Chairman Rumkowski, who sat safe with his new wife in his cushy home making lists, with the blood of my family on his hands. And not all Germans were murderers. Look at Herr Fassbinder, who had saved so many children on the night that children were taken away.”  ― Jodi Picoult, The Storyteller

And, there is one short quote that I find very inspiring. It is from JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings spoken by the character of Galadriel:

“Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.” – Galadriel

Those are my three most favorite quotes. What about you, what are your favorite quotes?
